The Most Perfect Copper Tubs and Brass Fixtures

We are a mere 2 days away from the big One Room Challenge reveal and today it’s all about the last pieces of the puzzle, the handmade copper tub and the solid brass fixtures!

Witt and Berg is an English company that produces quality made to order bathroom pieces.  Their fixtures are created from solid brass and they are exquisite while their tubs are incredible showpieces. Made from materials like copper, nickel and brass with options of enamel there is ample choice to create the bateau of your dreams.

The process of ordering is easy and the delivery from England took less than a week.  Upon arrival everything was packaged with the utmost care in a wooden crate.  Here’s the tub when we opened the crate, it was encased in a large cotton “bag” along with 2 pairs of gloves to be used for handling the pieces.

This covering protected the copper from any scratching or damage.  It arrived in pristine condition.

Of course we opened it up immediately and I snapped this shot.  It still has the styrofoam on the bottom edge but look at her in all her glory.  It was like the heavens parted and the angels sang.

Here we have the tub faucet laid out and ready to install.  Oo la la come to mama.

Each fixture came with an information care card and installation paperwork.

This faucet was super simple to install.  We already had our plumbing lined up in the floor so it was just a matter of connecting all of the pieces, giving them a good tighten, testing for leaks and now she’s ready to roll.

Can we talk about that glorious brass as it gleams?!

The tub is nothing short of magnificent.  The 2 tone look provides a bit of contrasting interest without detracting from the glorious copper.  It’s absolutely perfect in size (1700mm) and with curves that hug you like your perfectly worn in stretchy pants.  You know, the pair you always go back too because nothing else feels as good.

An up close of their signature plaque I mentioned above.  Every single element of their pieces I received is incredible quality.  If I ever move I’m taking them all with me, yes I’m that attached.

How about some shower action?!  I chose their exposed thermostatic shower system.  The elegant yet industrial styling perfectly balances out the design.

The rain showerheads have their own lever to turn on and off which also adjusts the pressure of the water.

I love the height and the simplicity combined with the solid brass and white porcelain handles.  Elegant, sophisticated yet not fussy.

I kept the original length of the riser to amplify the ceiling height.

These valves weigh a LOT.  We had a plumber come in and handle the rough in of the plumbing for these and he was very impressed at the quality and level of craftsmanship.  He commented “man you can do curls with these!”  We opted to create a stud between the 2 wall studs and run the rough in plumbing through that, providing a very sturdy base to attach the valve too.  It’s not going anywhere.

Who doesn’t love a the relaxing sound and experience of a rain shower head?  These are their 8 inch rose shower head.

The last shot you get before the reveal, because I just can’t help myself!  The beautiful brass fixtures and the copper tub are the stuff of my dreams and I am beyond ecstatic with these pieces.  The quality, the finishes, the ease of installation all make these bathroom products I highly recommend.
