The Dreamy Arty Wallpaper is Up! Laundry Room Update
It’s the last week before the big reveal of the One Room Challenge and we are down to the finish line with our wallpaper installation. If you missed the previous projects of this space you can peep those below.

I’m so stoked because the last major piece of this space, the wallpaper, finally went in! It’s my dream wallpaper. I first saw it a few years ago but had no idea where it came from or what it was called.
Fast forward to when I started designing this space that paper was on my mind and I hunted it down. It’s called Arty and it’s from Pierre Frey. I ordered enough to do the entire room and impatiently waited months to see it installed. Well the wait is finally over!
Laundry Room Wallpaper Installation
Cue the “Isn’t she looooovely…..isn’t she woooondderrrrful?” music
I have a wallpaper guy (Joe) who has been doing my permanent papers for several years now. Typically I get pooped out with all the other diy’s sometimes it’s nice to leave the final project to someone else.
Anyway he wanted to be the last project to happen so that nothing might potentially damage my paper. Thus we did all the other work first.
The last to be done before he came in to install was my diy gold leaf countertop.

OMG! I was fan girl popping my head in the entire time Joe was putting this up. (He’s used to me being a total wallpaper nerd by now)
It was better than my wildest dreams and absolute perfection.
This was right after the wallpaper went in and all the light flooding in on the glorious sight of the Arty paper.

I had initially planned open shelving above the countertop as in my original mood board.
Obvs I changed the cabinet color too but you can see I had initially planned for wood floating shelves.
I felt that the wood might be a bit chunky and instead of wood shelving I came up with a suspended concept. We built the framing and gave it a test run.

Except when we got it all up I didn’t love it. Thus we took it down and I did the suspended shelving elsewhere. (stay tuned for the post on that coming up!)
For this space though, you’ll have to wait for the reveal to see what we came up with instead, I know I hate when people do that too lol. (it is totally unexpected but SO much better!)
And of course I waited until the last minute on the hardware. Not intentionally, but I couldn’t make up my mind on what exactly I was looking for.
Here’s one we tested out. And yes I made my daughter hold it up so I could snap this pic, she was thrilled.
I tried out a few handles before deciding which way I wanted to go.
