I’m gettin all kinds of prepared (not really, more like can’t make up my dang mind) for the fall One Room Challenge which starts next week! EEEKK! And I’m doing all kinds of sourcing and inspo trippin all over the place. I thought as long as I was in Home Goods recently I might as well share some fun things I saw with ya to maybe give you an idea or some inspo of your very own. I’m currently in the process of redecorating our home and have added quite a few expensive things plus a huge new TV. It’s a good job we have homeowners insurance!
This bench is all kinds of awesome! The hairpin legs are very on trend right now. And the black and white graphic print, oo lala. I see this easily at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or as a coffee table with a tray on top!
This bowl would be fabulous for a fruit bowl on the kitchen counter or for your keys on an entry table. Again I’m going with the graphic print, so you can bring in some bold without overtaking a space!
I love the clear glass top on this table. It keeps the sight lines clear while allowing the base to be a beautiful sculptural piece. This is such a fun coffee table and it’s not over sized so would be perfect in a small living area or office space without making it feel cluttered!
These bathroom canisters had me at hello. The pretty peachy color with the facets make it subtle yet glamorous. I may go back and get a few for q-tips and cotton balls!
This pretty throw was on clearance and it was so soft. The subtle pattern with the pop of pink was just enough to give it interest without being overwhelming. A perfect piece if you are just dipping your toe into color or just like a little hint. Drape it over a side chair or on a sofa for added textural interest…..and to keep it easily available for those chilly nights.
I thought this piece was very pretty. It reminded me of a big star in the sky and the gold glittery accents gave it some shimmer. It would be lovely as a stand along piece above a fireplace or console table. You could also use it as a base for a gallery wall!
Here’s a chance to bring in something of a more worldly feel. The tiles, colors and etched metal…..gorgeous anywhere! It would make a massive statement in a bathroom too.
This is a smaller size than most media cabinets which makes it perfect as a multipurpose piece. It can be used for media but also clothing, books, glassware….anything you need storage for! And the design is interesting but with neutral tones so it could be used in any space.
I’m kind of kicking myself for leaving these beauties. I may go back and pick them up! I love the texture between the woven globe, the acrylic base and the brass detail it’s all kinds of fabulicious wrapped in one mighty lamp.
This is another very cool bench in a different style than you typically see. It reminds me of vintage telephone benches. They would keep their telephone on the shelf and paper, pens, phone books, etc in the drawer. It’s just a slightly more modern design. Great for an entry, conservatory or even the foot of the bed. One of my friends from the UK just got a gorgeous conservatory fitted by Majestic Designs Ltd and this bench would look fabulous in there!
This floor lamp has a modern glam feel with it’s chrome and glass prism shade. It would bring a hint of sophistication to a living space or bedroom. Very Restoration Hardware minus the big price tag!
I just love this little bull, with those epic earrings! I’m a sucker for animal anything so of course this made my faves. And the cool teal and green vase is a perfect pop accessory item!
The lovely navy and white pattern on this canister is what made it stand out. You could use this for flour, sugar or even coffee beans on your kitchen counter. Bring a little zing and fun into your kitchen.
And this piece is all about form over function. It’s a hollowed out vase with big knot holes. I know it sounds totally impractical but like the teal and green vase above it’s more of a decorative accessory piece. Use it on a mantle, shelf, kitchen (why not throw some cooking utensils in it?) or tabletop and you instantly have a rustic chic vibe happening.
Those are my fave top picks from my Home Goods visit this week along with a few fun ways you can implement similar items into your spaces. What are your favorite items to look for at Home Goods? What was your last awesome find?
