6 Budget Friendly Ways to Get the Fall Feels in Your Home!

It’s fall on the calender even though the temps are still hovering in the mid-upper 80’s here.  But I’m thinking about the transition of seasons which means the transition of home decor pieces!   *This post contains some affiliate links, see disclosures for more*

Here are 6 tried and true ways to cozy up your space for fall/seasonal vibes on any budget!

  1. Velvet

Truth be told I like velvet all year long BUT particularly in the fall to winter months.  It’s such a luxe feeling fabric that lends itself to a feeling of warmth.  Especially when paired with #2.  Ikea has some inexpensive velvet drapes too!

       2. Warm colors

My favorites every year are mustard, burnt orange, deep greens, deep pinks and navy.  They tend to all go nicely together and it’s super easy to add a few of these in throughout the year with your brighter pops.

This is a fun one as it’s got all the warm tones but would work well anytime during the year!  Just pair it with lighter variations of the colors vs the deep tones of fall/winter. WM Patchwork Sari Pillow

         3. Woven anything

Woven chunky knit blankets, woven textured pillows in a cotton or wool.  They immediately scream “chill by the fire and snuggle up”.  What’s more seasonal feeling than that?!

4. Scents

Since I’m such a candle fiend my favorite candles to pick up in the fall and winter are the apple cinnamon, baked cinnamon, pumpkin…..basically anything with a hint of natural elements and cinnamon. It just instantly puts my brain into an inviting and cozy mode.

          5. Faux fur

Go for something simple and classic like a white/cream pillow or throw.   Add it to your space tossed on a sofa or draped over a chair….instant cozy factor.

         6. Anything wood

This could be as easy as some branches from outside that you pop in an accent vase or a few accent pieces on a table.  The wood brings in that warmth and amps up the welcoming and seasonal vibes.  Bonus: they won’t get icky like pumpkins!

To sum up…it’s all about the texture and the vibe.  Bring in loads of texture and warm tones and you are set!  So easy to do on a budget.  A few new pillows, maybe some drapes, a little nature brought inside and badda bing you are done!
