I’ve Been Keeping a Secret!

I am so excited to be able to share this with you all today!  A little over a year ago I got an idea. It began brewing in the back of my mind until it became a full fledged fire.

Today is THE day I get to tell you all about it…. I am launching my lil project and it’s an online shop!  This is a huge deal for me as it’s something I dreamed about when I was a kid, having my own store.  Although back then it was a brick and mortar (which I still dream about)  but I never thought it would come true.  Can you tell I’m a little bit excited?!

 It’s called The Shoppe at Eclectic Twist and it’s currently loaded up with inventory that I have been hand selecting and sourcing over the last 6 months.  It’s a natural fit!  I love to find those interesting pieces for my own design and decor.  When I would be out shopping I would see epic things that I LOVED but didn’t have a spot for and it killed me to leave them behind, now I don’t have to.  I bring them home and I get to share them with you!!

The Shoppe is all vintage goodies and handmade pieces.  I love things that show how much love went into making them so you can expect to find lots of etched brass, carved wood and handmade textiles!

 I also love vintage pieces with seriously cool style and the stories that they could tell.  It’s all about creating that special curated “you” vibe and these pieces really help to give a unique stamp to any home.

Basically, I am shopping for me AND you!  I go out and traipse across the lands visiting flea markets, antique shops, thrift shops, estate sales, etc. finding awesome items.  I won’t lie, with every piece I have trouble saying it’s for the shop. (I wanted to keep it all haha) Alas my hubs, ever the practical one helped me see the light that I need to let some things go. (between you and me I did sneak a couple of things from the shop shelves, shhhh)

I put the same authentic vibe into this as I do everything else.  I only put things in the shop that I love and would use in my home, I even put some things in the shop that I have used to style spaces!  I also strive to give as much information about each piece as possible.  Things like era/age, what part of the world it came from, some ideas on how to use it, etc.

I wouldn’t have had the courage to do this without all of you, so thank you!  Your readership, following along on the ‘gram, Pinterest clickin over, means the world and I am seriously so excited to share all of these pieces and this with you.
