Have Too Many Necklaces? Quick DIY Display!
If you’re anything like me you have quite the necklace collection. I’ve got so much jewellery that I don’t even know what to do with it! My friend recently got some beautiful jewellery from a fantastic jewellers. If you’re interested in checking it out, follow this REDIRECT TO JACOBS THE JEWELLER. With all of my big statement necklaces I was running out of room FAST in my jewelry box and was having major issues with things getting tangled and knotted. Basically I just had a huge mess. I needed a quick and easy solution to fix the storage and tangling issue but it also had to be pretty! I have this little corner in our closet that’s just a bare wall and didn’t really have a purpose. I remembered these branch candelabras I had and this idea was born.
First I had 2 candelabras that I had picked up at World Market a couple of Christmas’ ago. They are so pretty I kept them out year round!
Here are some almost identical candelabras although they are bronze/black in finish, you could easily spray paint these any color you wanted to. White would be gorgeous or a metallic like silver, gold or copper. Another fab idea that’s FREE would be to use real branches (if you’re so lucky to live near trees, sniff sniff). You can still paint them OR leave them au naturale for a gorgeous natural look.

Then we took bolt cutters and cut off all of the candle holders to get the branches as smooth as we could.

After that it’s a matter of hanging them up! We used 2 screws in strategic locations, where the branches come together and in a small niche of a branch to give it good hold.

Lastly hang your lovely jewelry! Everything is easy to see so you don’t need an hour to find the right piece of jewelry. It’s all hanging neatly so the necklaces don’t get knotted up and all finished it makes for an art like installation display that’s beautiful to look at. My friend recently told me about another site called Adina’s Jewels, so I think I’m going to have a look to see if I can get any more necklaces for my new hanger!
