Tips to Spruce Up Your Outdoor Space
It’s that time of year where we can pretty up out front porches, entryways, decks and patios. Here are some easy ways to give your outdoor spaces some indoor living style.
**Start with the front door**
Here is a wreath I thrifted and added several thrifted faux florals to really brighten the heavy feeling wood door. You don’t have to use a wreath but any kind of cute summery looking elements will work. If you can paint your front door now is a good time to freshen up that color.
**Frame your entryway**
Here I used plants and animal pieces to flank both sides of the steps and carry the green all the way back to either side of the front door. This leads your eye from the first step all the way through the space.
**Make it Inviting**
Using an outdoor rug is a great way to create a “room” like feel. In the pics above there’s a small rug for warmth and texture. Likewise below it anchors the space and visually separates it from the rest of the patio. Plus it’s an additional opportunity to add some personality to your spaces.
The rug really makes the space pop.
**Create Conversation Areas within Spaces**
In the left corner you can see a set of 2 chairs with a side table which could easily be used for 2 people to have a chat. Yet it’s still close enough to be a part of a group who may be sitting on the sectional sofa.
**Lots of Pillows and Lots of Plants**
Lots of pillows and a coffee table really bring a living room feel to the patio. The pillows not only add color but add to the comfort.
Plants always to enjoy those outdoors!

**Have fun with it!**
These are rocking chairs my kids got and spray painted for me for mother’s day last year and I love them so much. Your outdoor space should look and feel alot like your indoor rooms. It will give you a space to enjoy that feels cozy and inviting.
Outdoor spaces are so much fun as you can really play with brighter and bolder color. It pairs so nicely with everything “nature” so go for it and give yourself and your family/guests a great place to hang out and spend some quality time together.
